The team, which previously handled late-night food at Mojo Pub in Lakeview, is bringing its full lineup to Trussville — including Pizza Strippers (a dozen alfredo-based strips for dipping), loaded Pizza Tacos, Pizza-rittos, large pasta plates and Quesadilla Zone calzones.

The move follows a change in ownership at Marty’s: longtime owner Phil Mims retired and handed the venue to Mujtaba Syed and his partners earlier this summer, and the new group has been refreshing the food program ever since. It’s another sign of momentum for Trussville’s dining scene — which also has Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar on the way.

What game day specials is Ferus Artisan Ales offering?

Trussville’s hometown brewery is ready for kickoff. Per the Tribune, Ferus Artisan Ales is offering specials during every Alabama and Auburn game — $1 wings, $1 off burgers, $1 off select beers and $6 margaritas (dine-in only). Sundays bring $5 mimosas and $12 mimosa flights.

Ferus also teased two menu changes launching in the coming weeks: a curated value menu with lower-priced items and “Southern Comfort Food Sundays,” a rotating series of classic Southern dishes from Ferus chefs.

Why is the Trussville Pool closing permanently?

An era ended this weekend: the City of Trussville hosted a “Last Splash Bash” on Sunday, August 16 — one final afternoon of swimming, memories and a 4:45 p.m. group plunge — before the Trussville Pool closes for good. Admission was priced at exactly one memory of your time at the pool, a fitting send-off for a spot generations of Trussville kids grew up around.
